AquaValid: real-time multimetal water analyzer
AquaValid is a fully automated, in-line analyzer that measures dissolved metals in process water continuously — up to 5 metals concurrently from 27 available analytes, at parts-per-billion sensitivity, with results about a minute after sampling on a continuous ~10-minute cycle.
What AquaValid is
AquaValid replaces grab samples and days of lab lag with lab-grade metal concentrations your operators see continuously — in conditions that break conventional sensors: high TDS, harsh chemistry, demanding industrial environments.

How it works
AquaValid generates a micro-plasma at the surface of the flowing sample using solution cathode glow discharge (SCGD). Metals in the water emit light at their characteristic wavelengths, and an onboard spectrometer reads them — the same optical-emission physics trusted in laboratory analysis, engineered into a rugged unit that runs unattended in your process line.
The unit calibrates itself using onboard calibration standards and deionized water, and consumes just one reagent — a plasma conditioner. There is no cabinet of test-specific chemistry to stock and swap, unlike colorimetric analyzers that consume a different reagent per parameter.
What it detects
Monitor up to 5 metals concurrently, selected from any combination of 27 available analytes. Every element links to its own page.
Water hardness comes built-in via direct calcium and magnesium measurement. Detection limits are matrix-dependent — matrix-specific limits from a sample of your actual water are available on request.
Where it fits
Environmental Compliance
Catch an effluent excursion before it crosses a regulatory threshold.
Environmental monitoring →Process Optimization
Tune reagent dosing and extraction chemistry on live data — around 30% savings on chemical costs.
Process optimization →Machinery Protection
See scaling and fouling profiles building before they damage assets.
Machinery maintenance →Validation and field experience
Validated against ICP laboratory analysis, and proven where it matters: in the field.
“The fact that it can handle the high TDS and the harsh conditions we have on-site is what really sets it apart from the other sensors we’ve looked at.”
AquaValid FAQ
Can it interface with my SCADA?
Yes — AquaValid delivers its measurements as a continuous digital data feed via API, pullable into SCADA dashboards, historians, and control systems.
Does it replace our lab?
No — and it isn’t meant to. Accredited ICP analysis remains your compliance record; AquaValid adds continuous visibility between those samples.
How much maintenance does it need?
A ~15-minute daily operator check (reagent top-up and a visual inspection, no special training), monthly service of 1–4 hours, and ~3 additional hours annually — by 2S Water-trained local service partners with remote support. Full details →
